Testimonials

Shoreline Health Solutions has written multiple grants for us, all with excellent results. The quality, thoroughness, and comprehensiveness of their work is top notch. They take the time to explore and learn the organization from the ground up. Proof of this dedication can be found in our recent SAC award, which we received without any appended grant conditions. The submitted application clearly made the case for our compliance with the HRSA regulations. The application also highlighted our health center's strengths and capacity to provide high quality services.

Shoreline's capabilities cover a broad spectrum. They have helped us succeed over a range of HRSA opportunities, from Health Center Controlled Network funding to Behavioral Health Integration, and brought us within an inch of CMS CMMI Health Care Innovation Challenge grant funding.

Shoreline's consultants are very familiar with the 330 funding streams, have a keen sense of what the Feds are looking for, and how to present each piece of information requested by grant guidance. They possess excellent writing ability and are skilled at handling health data and statistics related to health disparities and needs assessments, skillfully demonstrating the relationship between the data and community needs. Working with Shoreline on grants, I know I can count on timely submission, often ahead of the grant deadline.

They have also facilitated strategic planning sessions for us, including pre-session preparation of key information to feed into our planning activities. This included community needs assessment data, consolidation of patient survey/focus group data, and analysis of staff feedback surveys.

Given their experience and understanding of the health center environment, I have had many excellent experiences working with them.

I have really appreciated Shoreline's knowledge of HRSA and the grant submission process. We applied for a New Access Point with another consultant several years ago, and mistakes were made that resulted in the application being rejected. When we brought Trudy and Molly in, they wrote an excellent application for us that was funded successfully. We were the only applicant in all of New York State that had a NAP funded in that round. They took care of all components of the application submission process from A to Z, including planning, writing, budgeting, all the forms and attachments, and the online submission. They truly are subject matter experts when it comes to FQHCs and what HRSA is looking for, and it put my mind at ease knowing they were taking care of everything.

My leadership team is so busy like everyone, but Shoreline made sure we stayed on track for an early grant submission. They made it clear what information they needed from us in order to prepare a strong application.

Trudy and Molly are so easy to work with. All their work is extremely high quality and very comprehensive. They know what HRSA is looking for and how to present the health center in the best light. They are very thorough.

They took a complicated process and made it easy for us to understand, which was so important for someone who was not previously familiar with the process. Our whole team learned a lot from Shoreline about what we need to do for HRSA compliance.

To me, hiring Shoreline is a no-brainer. I don't think you can find a more knowledgeable team about the HRSA process. I count it as one of my blessings that we found them. I don't want to do any HRSA filings that they aren't involved in. I know it will be done on time, be accurate, and that it will be done right.

We have been working with Trudy and Molly for the past 14 years. They have prepared community needs assessments, assisted with strategic planning, and written many grants for us during that time. Their success rate with grants for us is 100% - all of the grants they have ever written for us have been successful! They have helped us obtain more than $13 million in grant funding over the years, including state and federal grants for primary care, dental, behavioral health and capital needs.

Trudy and Molly are the consummate professionals. They are extremely knowledgeable about HRSA requirements and priorities, including UDS clinical quality measures and FQHC requirements. They stay up to date on changes in the FQHC world, and can offer us current information as we are working on projects with them.

When we work with Shoreline, we know we will always get a high quality grant application that paints a unique picture of our health center and reflects our strengths and capabilities. Their descriptions of our service area help the grant reviewers visualize our community in rural Kansas, what our needs are, and what we are truly about as a health center.

When working on grants with Trudy and Molly, we can count on them to help us stay on track for on time or early submission. Recently, one of our grant submissions was ready for submission a full week in advance of the deadline. However, there was a technical problem within the EHB that caused one of the forms to show up in the EHB as blank even after completing and saving it. Shoreline identified the problem, and worked with the EHB Help Desk and their operations team continually over several days to ensure on time submission despite this EHB glitch. It was a relief to know that they were taking care of everything for us, and saved us a lot of time.

They have also been so helpful providing feedback while we are working on grant budgets. They always know how to phrase the budget narrative justification descriptions to ensure our proposed expenses sound reasonable. It is their attention to detail that helps strengthen each application, ensures budget documents are consistent with the narrative and application attachments, and overall helps the application score as high as possible. I have learned a lot from them. When working on budgets on my own, I always ask myself, what would Shoreline say to make this sound good?

We have nothing but the highest praise for Shoreline. They are truly the best. We highly recommend them to any health center!

Community Health Center of Richmond has been working with Shoreline for over 10 years. The fact that we have developed this long-term relationship with them speaks to the high quality of all the work we have done with them over the years.

Trudy and Molly provide professional grant writing, consulting and advisory services, with extremely high success rates. This includes preparing federal grants for New Access Point, Service Area Competition, Budget Period Renewal, and maternal and child health programs. They have also written state, local and foundation grants to support the health center's programs. They set internal timelines with us so we can plan what information we need to get to them. This helps us stay on track, and makes sure all grant submissions are completed on time or early.

We have benefited from a lot of other services they have offered us, including strategic planning, policy and procedure manuals, and community needs assessments. They also have prepared several 1-2 page summaries of "talking points" on a variety of programs to help build local support, including proposed programs for asthma, diabetes, prostate cancer screening, and capital projects. They have helped us from the planning and conceptual stage for many projects, all the way through to getting programs funded.

Trudy and Molly are extremely responsive. I can also always count on Trudy and Molly to give me an honest assessment of when to pursue a specific grant opportunity. They are sensitive to the fact that health centers have limited resources, and want to be sure if we move forward with a grant it is because we have a realistic project plan that is aligned with what the funders are looking for. They have been doing this work for over 20 years and I trust their expertise about FQHCs and HRSA programs.

There are so many grant writers out there, but when you hire Trudy and Molly you know you are going to get the most competitive application possible. The grants Trudy and Molly write are succinct, clear and present our health center's needs and strengths in a straightforward way. They are very detail oriented and always make sure things are done right. Their work on non-grant projects has also benefited us greatly. I highly recommend them to any health center.
